English as a Second Language

English as a Second Language (ESL)

All students must be proficient in the English language in all aspects of listening, speaking, reading and writing in order to meet the expectations and demands of the industry.

Applicants are required to undertake the IAB English Placement Test. The tests are held on arrival and focuses on a student's listening, grammar and speaking skills. The results of the test will determine a student's eligibility to undertake the Certification programs or if there is a need for the student to take the English program.

The English program may take anywhere from 3 to 12 months depending on the level achieved during the IAB English Placement Test. Classroom and activity based learning are at 5 days a week. Upon successfully completing the IAB English Level 4, students can proceed directly to the certification programs.
